hbo's the comeback . cancelled
AXED: HBO canceling Lisa Kudrow's post-Friends effort, The Comeback, per the Hollywood Reporter.
Mr. GuyTVBlog . i completely fell in love with this show, especially lisa's character. the show did make you feel awkard and very uneasy the entire season as you watched, but i mean you had to watch this [hopefully emmy nominated] character take shit from people everyday and never strike back. she bottled up everything, the cameras caught every emotion and then finally she went off on the final episode. we also got a great glimpse at her standing up for herself when she took a trip to palm springs... but now it's over.
i loved the final episode of this only season. a great 12 episode build up to a great, emotional finale. goodbye valerie cherish. i will always heart you. and what's up with hbo first canceling carnivele and now the comeback!?! but yeah, let's keep entourage and the wire going. great fucking shows there!

You got to be kidding me? This was one of the best shows. That completely sucks! When was this announced? Last I heard, they were talking about renewing for a second season.

Yes! You did feel uncomfortable and awkward throughout, but that was part of the show's beauty and smarts. There wee so many levels. And we'll never know what happens between Valerie and Paulie G, not to mention the hottie boys in the show. Too smart for even HBO??
