Survivor: Exile Island . Episode 2
Last night's Survivor: Exile Island episode was gut wrenching to watch. I was just able to watch the show entitled "The Breakdown" this morning and I have some words to vent. Bare with me. If you're a Survivor fan, then you'll enjoy this post.
Episode 2: Tribes, yet again, have been switched up so we, the viewers, won't be bored thus predicting what could have been a predictable season. One sure way to get far in the game is to create an alliance early in the game and keep it strong... no matter what.
But not every alliance has to be embraced. Let's take a new alliance that consists of Aras, Courtney, Danielle and Shane in the new tribe of Casaya. This new alliance left out Bobby, Cirie and Melinda. Now Shane, the tattooed Colin Farrell carbon copy was suppose to become this season's villian but alas, someone else has stepped up. I give you Survivor: Exile Island's first villian. Aras.
When Casaya lost the immunity challenge and the threat of someone getting voted out crept into the beach, Shane started to doubt himself and wanted out. He wanted to quit, he started telling everyone he wanted to go home and just leave the game altogether. And he was almost out until Aras stepped in.
Aras made sure that Shane stayed and that one of the older women left. Then Aras made the asshole move of the day. He made the excuse of "honesty and openness" as the reason to confront both Cirie & Melinda that one of them was going home. His speech was a mix of forced sincerity and useless cockyness. Courtney got up looking very angry with his actions and then watched Shane chime in with talk about their open alliance and that he "doesn't care which one of you goes home".
Um... Where the FUCK is Bobby is all of this? Oh and then later when Melinda started crying and announcing that it wasn't fair, Danielle stepped in hugging her and giving us viewers just an ounce of hope that she felt what Melinda was going through. Could things change tonight when everyone votes?

Casaya headed to tribal counsel and Bobby was still unseen and edited out of this entire tropical drama that kept unfolding in front of our addicted eyes. I'm starting to think that Bobby & Aras are in a secret alliance. Along with Nick & Austin over at La Mina. All four came from the younger men tribe in episode one.
Anyways, Bobby said nothing at tribal counsel and ended up voting Melinda out showing no signs of love towards the older women. Shane is getting played. So is Courtney & Danielle. Aras is the first villian to step forward, not because of his game play, but because of his actions towards Melinda, Shane & Cirie.
Yes I could be wrong about the whole Bobby & Aras [sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G] but it may be the plan from the start. Shane was the only one seen on camera starting the Casaya alliance. Not Aras. Not Bobby. Over at La Mina, the older guy Terry [who I wish was enjoying in my bed right now] started an all male alliance with both younger men. Later, Sally then talked to Austin to start another alliance of four against the older members of La Mina that includes Terry, Ruth Marie & Dan. Austin & Nick have it made... until tribes are switched again.
On both tribes, the younger men have positioned themselves nicely. Can they screw it up? Of course they can, they're men! Well anyone can screw this up, fuck, the women in Vanuatu screwed it up allowing a man to fuck the mall thus winning the game. We have to remember that it's day "early" and we still got plenty of days for the shit to hit the fan.
I think Shane is going to flip out again... yep... yep... he flips out again according to the "next week on Suvivor" preview. I believe Nick, the fratboy of the season, is just going to get hotter with literally no fat left on his muscles as he struts his way to the final four. And I believe Terry's days are numbered. Dan is unable to play without Terry, so you don't get rid of Dan, you get rid of Terry first.
Finally, can Aras come out of the villian role by next episode or will he continue to let a power of 2 get to his head? And will next week's episode have the full show opening or the 10 second show opening? And will the women's attempt at getting sexual with Nick and Austin force one of them to come out as being the openly gay contestant of Survivor: Exile Island? Tune into my next Survivor post February 17th.
