Are You Going To Watch Kyle XY?

I still don't know why ABC Family has decided to run the ads featuring a young stud pulling up his shirt showing his his morphed and highly unusual abs. We are suppose to watch the series premiere on Monday, June 26th to see what the fuck is up with people lifting up his shirt. Now comes the question. Are you, the average TV gay viewer, going to watch Kyle XY?
Oh yeah, at the start of the first episode, he's suppose to be fully naked but his naughty bits carefully covered up but he's naked lying in the middle of the woods. I almost want to Tivo it but then would rather watch my Tivo'd clip of Christina Aguilera singing at the MTV Movie Awards.
This just in, MiceChat.com member Fishbulb went to Walt Disney World's Gay Days and snapped a photo of one of the ads in the buses that take you from park to park. He writes "Now, I may be a little suspicious, but doesn't the ad look a little Homoerotic? No? Where did they get the name for this new family show? could it be from the popular a Gay Homoerotica magazine coincidentally called "XY"? Check the XY site and judge for yourself on Fishbulb's idea.

Guys, the guy doesn't have a belly button!?
Get it?
Posted by: Joel at June 11, 2006 7:35 AM
the significance of the pulled up shirt is that he has no belly button.... but i'm sure they didn't realize how sexually provactive it was

the point is that he's missing a belly button therefore he must be a testtube baby. abcfamily cracks me up with their crap programming. i heard they aired a 'guys gone wild' commercial once

The whole idea of the lifted shirt--- look, he's got no belly button. I guess it means he's a genetically engineered man (hence the XY).

Well what do you fuckin know, he doesn't have a belly button! I can't FUCKING believe I MISSED THAT!
I'm pretty good with details like in Pixar & Disney's Cars, there's a quick split second cameo of the birds from their Pixar short "For The Birds". Near the beginning of the film, during a highway scene, powerlines are zipping by the screen and there they are, the birds from the short, all on the power line, the cameo comes so quick that you'll miss it if you blink but once can also recognize them by their unique sound...
But this FUCKING BELLY BUTTON, I missed that completely! Ah I can't stop laughing at myself.
Thanks everyone.

Haha, yeah I noticed he had no Belly Button right away! C'mon guys! Anywho, that actor.. isn't he the kid that was in "Luck of the Irish" on the Disney Channel for one of their original movies? I think his name is actually Kyle, or maybe that was his name in the movie. Beats me, but he looks to have grown up some since then. Let's see what happens with this XY boy.

Haha nevermind, the boy that plays Kyle XY is Matt Dallas, the boy that played in the "Luck of the Irish" as Kyle Johnson is Ryan Merriman.

While Kyle XY might be missing a belly button, he sure aint missin good looks! For now, the only place to see good looking guys uncensored on TV is on an online gay TV channel like Village TV. Cooincidently, Johnathon Weeks, the anchor of the Village TV gay news looks a lot like Mr. XY. Weeks has not shown his belly button either, but other co-hosts of the Gay News have, including porn star Brad Benton. Check it out http://www.villagetv.com Alec Noize, Gay Mafia

Just a quick note that you can download the pilot of Kyle XY for FREE on iTunes until its premiere on June 30. I just watched it and think it has promise... even aside from the fact that he's fucking hot, I'll watch it cause it's all sci-fi-ish (maybe - we don't know yet).

Hi, I'm only 15 minutes into the program, and it's pretty obvious to me their are way too many homophobic men in the world. And I commend the author, directors and actors for doing such a show as this.
I know when i was in high school, i was picked on by most of the "Jughead" teens because of my sexuality (which most figured out before i did.) Imagine that!!! It's about time someone taught "humans" that being "different" can be a good thing. If more people were occupied with their own sexuality/lives, then we wouldn't have as many problems in the world today.
Believe it or not, I had a fellow classmate who used to pick on me. Long as it may be, 25 years later, he apologized to God and Me, and asked me to forgive him for the choices he made when he was a kid when he was beating me up or taunting me.. along with his brother and "OUR" fellow classmates... Please think on this one for a while.. gaelen38

Support the show, don't be knockin' it as crap just because it landed on ABC Family with other [fill in your choice] ...
...it's co-created by gay writer/Producer Bryan Holdman, notable of late for EVERWOOD's coming out bit "An Ounce of Prevention" which had that show's handsome character also called, wow, Kyle, finally facing up to his piano teacher [who had forced Kyle to go out with a girl...].
Besides the rating numbers were so high Monday for Kyle XY's debut, ABC Network has already decided to re-broadcast each Friday on ABC prime time...with premature buzz of a possible OC meets Supernatural summer hit...

First of all. This is one of the worst shows that abc family could have premiered. The first one was probably, the oc. The second one is that wildfire bullshit that has completely nothing to do with the fucking horse. For fuck's sake, most of the show is just focussing on the fucking relationships between the other characters. Laguna beach, wtf is that????
God, go watch some decent fucking telivision people!

i don't exactly think it's that great of a show, and the whole belly button 'mystery' i think is overplayed, because it's not exactly a complex ordeal.
on the brighter side of things, i don't see anything wrong with matt dallas having erections.

It is extremely homoerotic, and I fucking love the show [and Matt) like an addict loves crack.
I wrote a post about it earlier in the month, discussing how "gay" the ad campaign is as well.

I want to recommend this show, the storyline is good, and Matt Dallas is a very good actor. Not to talk about his look...*hot, hot, hot* and a really cute person in real life (seen interviews of him)
Watch and you won't regret, watch an episode at least...give it a try.

BTW: for those who judges a book by it's cover, he's much hotter in the series, can't understand why they used that picture as poster...
Posted by: Anonymous at July 30, 2006 2:37 AM
i like it very much
