Qox Populi . 06.07.06-06.12.06

Welcome to GuyTVBlog.com's newest edition to the post family, Qox Populi! Isn't it great to learn a new pop culture phrase? This creation was ripped from the MSN Encarta Dictionary's word, Vox Populi, which means "popular public opinion" or "voice of the people". Well I decided to turn the word queer [like i do most things! wink] by making you, the reader, pronance the word as "cox poppye lee". It's fun to talk dirty, teach your friends.
This is how Qox Populi will work. The post, dated every tuesday, will remain on on the front page during the week. After I watch a show or experience something pop culture related on tv, I will post about it under each month's weekly Qox Populi. Just visit GuyTVBlog.com all week to see how it works.
Laugh In Development . I discovered a website in one of my research web searches that features a queer side to Saturday Night Live. It's a show that will featured "an ensemble cast of comedians who appear in sketches that parody current events, television commercials, music videos and more." Except this new show twist is the comedy is Gay!
That's right, they've got Leslie Jordan from Will & Grace & Lady Bunny particpating and the official website features parodies referencing Anne Heche [cue tired ass joke] & TV Lawyers who "fight for you" and who are "on your side". I didn't laugh at either sketch but then again I don't really laugh at my Tivo'd episodes of SNL. Fuck if I know what's really funny, I'm just one person.
They're also seeking your help. They command that you to "get out of that sex chat room and send us something!" The show will basically cast Virtual Members who could earn up to $500 for your work and feature you on their program. Check the site for more accurate details.
I really do hope this show succeeds but please spare us anymore Brokeback Mountain parodies. Please!!!
You're British! . To absolutely no freakin' surprise Donald Trump hired the British candidate for this year's "job interview". It was a 33 year old shlong versus a 22 year old dick. Whether or not one is bigger than the other, those big juicy British lips took the lead and won the chance to kiss Donald's ass for an entire year. Now we'll have to wait quite awhile for another edition to debut in 2007, filmed in Los Angeles where Donald will get no respect and feel very... very un-L.A..
Randy's Body Returns Last night on WWE, Randy Orton returned on RAW and did some kind of wrestling move to ECW's Kurt Angle. Randy Orton had been out due to an injury or as some have debated, inappropiate behaviour behind closed WWE doors... either way, he's back and he's packed on pounds of solid muscle. He's bigger in his quads, shoulders, deltoids, arms, back, pecs... I'm drooling here.

In other WWE superstar wannabe news, Mike "The Miz" from MTV's The Real World has finally landed a solid but very expendable role on Smackdown. He's their new show host announcer. But that's not where you laugh. If you visit his WWE profile and click his "exclusive photo gallery" you get Michelle McCool's photo gallery. She's Smackdown's latest diva and has a look that could cause a straight man's erection to burst through his jeans.

Fresh Body . One thing MTV's new Real World Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat is missing is David's awesome physique. He's pictured above in all his muscled glory. I remember his series in Seattle when his enlarged penis became the 8th roommate. I'm still waiting for a penis pix. Anyone?
Qox Populi Update . I have heard some pleas that when one checks out the archives of Qox Populi, their screen freezes or they have to wait a long time before the page loads... the problem is all of the YouTube videos uploading for play. So with that said, I now will only keep the last 4 editions of Qox Populi in the archives. I hope this is no longer a problem.
Channel 912 . Tune into Channel 912 on GuyTVBlog.com every Tuesday for new media clips slash reality show entertainment. Today's clips comes from that daytime talk show where a hairy, hairy... um... hairy man gets his back shaved. Just watch. The 2nd video features a Smallville parody that deals with Clark Kent's experimentation with masturbation. Funny stuff.
