VMA's 2006 . Beyonce's Ring The Alarm
Greatest performance of the night. There was noo introduction. Some guy just won an award, walked off stage and then the entire VMA's set went dark. Suddenly the alarms sounded and down came Beyonce. Check out the live performance above.
The entire VMA's were pretty weak and non-eventful BUT still highly enjoyable due to this year's set up. My first glimpse of the show was when Jessice Simpson walked and I was floored by the screens all over the walls. Bigger than life. The stage was the star, bigger than P. Diddy's ego.
The only problem with Beyonce's performance is the sudden dance number... I was like um... okay Ms. Janet Jackson wannabe. During the number I checked my watch wondering when is this going to end? Get back to the song, you ain't Nasty Beyonce!
Oh look, I just came off like every other TV viewer who thinks they should run everything and have everything on TV please JUST them. Yeah for me! [baby clapping in celebration for me somewhere in the world] Now here's Fergie. Also, Justin Timberlake's VMA performance & Shakira's VMA performance.

I too was very disappointed in the VMA's this year. Just because Jack Black is mildly funny doesnt mean he can carry a whole show. They really messed up by letting the public vote because the same people won repeatedly. The performances were "blah" except Christina, Justin, Ok Go, and T.I. Beyonce picked a weak song to do from her album. Her BET Awards performance this year as at least 2X better...

Yeah they were weak...i noticed the crowd wasnt all hyped as usual they were just like yall said.....blah....red carpet sucked the most though. & your right they shouldnt have let the public vote...OMGSH paris hiltons dress was a fuck up hated it.

maybe i should say that i really expected more...they have to improve every year but totally shakira's performance was good..beyonce could have chosen a better song to perform like deja vu...i think every 1 expected christina to win somethin but she didnt and she seemes down...and at the end,shame on panic at the disco 4 what they did on stage when jlo was also there...i love jlo :-) she was sexy as usual..
