GuyTVBlog.com | 6th Season Debut!
Welcome to a whole new season of GuyTVBlog.com. This blog started as a few simple posts on AGuySite.com [18 & older website] which turned into a small blog over at blogspot.com that then turned into what you see here today. GTVB is about my personal tastes on what I find to be visually appealing on television. I try to cover what I think is worth covering. That's how most blogs are run.
I'm not about reporting what I like to call "regurgitate news" meaning reporting the same news that you'll find on every other TV related queer blog. I too go to other blogs for popular pop culture news but I try to deliver something a little different to the readers of GuyTVBlog.com.
More than half the time the posts you'll find here on GTVB are based on my own personal interests and tastes. Not everyone agrees with my personal opinions when I review a show or report on an actor/actress/reality star(s). Let's take a look at an email sent to me during the time of reporting my insight into Big Brother 8.
"You my friend are an idiot. I refuse to visit your site ever again. Keep your stupid opinions to yourself. Better yet, go suck Dustin's herpes infested dick. As a gay man myself, you and Dustin are an embarrassment to the entire gay community. Then again, you are not "out" anyway so please keep it that way."
Well, GOD FORBID me and a reader, who I believe still visits GTVB, has a difference of opinion. The point to being an individual is you have your own opinion and others can agree to disagree. There's no point in demanding I shut the fuck up because I don't believe the once faithful reader should ever shut the fuck up. We all should never shut the fuck up. Speak your mind, debate, agree and then love each other in a bathroom stall.
That was one of the first few negative emails I recieved while I covered Big Brother 8 this summer. I expect more in the months to come. I also receive some very positive emails and comments about my work here on GuyTVBlog.com.
My point is GTVB is here for the people who choose to enjoy it. Now as you can see there's a few visual tweaks to GuyTVBlog.com, more slight changes are to come in the months ahead. As always there will be tyops and errors in the text. If you didn't catch "tyops" well then what's wrong with you, that's the type of typo I will fuck up on when I'm typing a mile a minute. I do try to read over the text once it is written but I always end up missing something. If you feel the need to correct me, by all means correct me, through email or posting in the comments section.
Right now I'm currently catching up on a whole bunch of Tivo'd episodes of America's Next Top Model 9, The Real World: Sydney, Top Chef 3, The View, Martha, Oprah, Ellen, Beauty and the Geek 4, Curb Your Enthusiasm , Weeds, Kid Nation, The Biggest Loser 4, Newport Harbor and Rock of Love. That's alot of programming to catch up on.
You know, someone once told me, to my face, "You watch too much TV" to which I told them "I make time to watch the right amount of TV". You make time for sex, You make time to eat, You make time to jerk off, You make time to go out and You make time to watch TV. So just enjoy life... with a proper side of TV.
