Sex & The City Makes 56.8 Million Glamours Sparkling Dollars Over The Slutty Chic Weekend!!!

Yes! Can you fucking believe it?!?! That dress was left on the cutting room floor! NOT in the movie. Wait.. no I don't think it was but unlike others I did not see it more than once this weekend... well not yet anyways. More screenings to come soon.

""Sex and the City," the long-awaited romantic comedy based on the HBO series of the same name, opened in the top spot at the boxoffice in North America with better-than-expected weekend sales of $55.7 million, distributor Warner Bros. Pictures said on Sunday.

Coming to theaters four years after they ended their six-season run on the small screen, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and pals unleashed a frenzy among the show's fans, who organized "girls' nights out" to catch up with their heroines' exploits.

Going into the weekend, the Time Warner Inc-owned studio had expected the film to earn $25 million to $35 million for the three-day period.

The picture crushed "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," which observers had assumed would whip up a second weekend in first place. Instead, the Paramount Pictures adventure was a distant No. 2 with $46.0 million; it has earned $216.9 million since opening on May 22."

Ouch! Maybe Steven & George should have released Mr. Jones into the box office world some fucking many years ago and then they wouldn't be in this position of getting knocked down in the 2nd week by a sassy stylish foursome!

Friday's daily box office take for Sex & the City was 26 Million sparkling dollars. But then it started to drop when usually the cash inCUM should rise over the next two days. Saturday the film made an impressive but not orgasmic 17 million and then on Sunday the film couldn't get it up as it only made a pathetic Summer season 10 million.

Still overall the film delivered big and kicked Mr. Jones hot old ass which does give us hope that a sequel is definitely going to be made and the Sex & the City film trilogy will finally be almost completed.

What's that, you haven't heard? Sex & the City movie has now been planned as a 3 movie deal. We've got 2 more CUMMING our way. I expect someone's lover will DIE in the next movie, things ended far too "perfect" in this last one.

Update: Box Office Mojo is now reporting a new set of first weekend numbers. Friday's take: $26,771,052, Saturday's take: $17,550,993, Sunday's take: $12,526,011 making the new weekend grand total: $56,848,056!!!
