GuyTV Crush | Vintage James West

I remember as a kid videotaping the episodes just to fast forward through them only hoping to find yet another shirtless scene of Mr. James West aka Robert Conrad. He was one of the first GuyTV Crushes I had growing up. I came across these videos on YouTube and just had to share those who have yet to discover a very sexy and very vintage James West.

LOL! Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I grew up when these were first-run, in the pre-VCR days of the mid-sixties. Like so many others, I secretly crushed on Robert Conrad. That chest, those abs! The tight pants! The jackets with the padded shoulders cut at the waist to emphasize his toned physique! The coded relationship with co-star Ross Martin (and the obligatory in every episode female star-of-the-week throwing themselves at West, to convince us they're straight)! It's enough to make a ten year-old pre-homo swoon!

I have to track down some DVDS to de-construct the homoerotic subtext of this series

Oh, thanks for this! I remember the little me watching the rerun of the series in the 90s in Indonesia weeks after weeks just waiting to see the dude went shirtless! I never saw him shirtless, so this post is really rewarding.

Thanks!

Robert Conrad as James West was the sexiest man alive... and no one has topped him yet. Great find!

I am right there with you on this! I remember drooling over James West back then. And even as he got older ... I remember seeing him on an ep. of Murder, She Wrote or something and he was older, but still in great shape!
