GuyTVBlog.com Interview . James Rhine

Mr. GuyTVBlog: The TV audience knows you from CBS' Big Brother 6. Are you content with keeping the title of "Houseguest" for years to come? And are you attempting to do more within the business of entertainment to give people something else to remember you for?

James Rhine: I was never content w/ "Houseguest" as a title. I wanted to win, not just participate. Right now I have the same title as Busto (she's a bitch) and Ashlea (who's sweet, but left week one). I had fun, but wanted the title of "winner". As for the entertainment world, I would like to do more in the future, "Big in 05" on VH1 was fun and left me yearning for more. Here in Chicago it might be a little more difficult to find work in that field, but Sarah really wanted to be here.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Let's talk about some of your Big Brother houseguests. I give you a name and you tell us about your experiences with them after the show.

Maggie: The Victor -
James Rhine: Maggot - I spoke to her and her boyfriend in the lobby the day after the wrap party. That was it. I told her she played a great game. I knew what she was up to in the house, unfortunately no one else did until it was too late. She played a superb game by manipulating the Girl Scouts and Howie, she should enjoy her money.

Ivette: The Yammer -
James Rhine: Ivette and I have rekindled our friendship. She was the only person kind of loyal to me and after Sarah left was the only person I could really talk to. We hung out in LA 2 weeks ago for the VH1 thing and talk every couple of days. I miss her sometimes.

Sarah: The Combatant -
James Rhine: I moved to Chicago for her in the winter, that should say it all... We just moved into a place on Lake Shore Dr. and can see Lake Michigan from our living room. Things are going well, there was a little strife after I got off, b/c of what others were saying. That subsided and we are happier than ever, I do wish it was warmer here though...

Jennifer: The Minx -
James Rhine: J-Blo- who cares. One of two I could give a shit less about. In sequester her and Busto were ripping on Rachel, Howie, Sarah, Janelle, and myself one night and I ripped into them. It was about 7am and I told them that America would hate them for who they were not how they played and good luck on the outside. They said that they would have all this great press waiting for them and that we would be seen as demons and losers...

Janelle: The Venus -
James Rhine: Janey - We talk every couple of days. She's one of the people I miss the most. We like to reminisce about the ol' Gold Room and ripping on the Nerds. One of our favorite moment's was at Sequester, when we were all drunk trashing J-Blo and Busto for about 30 minutes and Jen had been hiding in the bathroom listening the whole time. Poor Busto thought Janey loved her and wanted to be friends, she keep asking her if it was true. Aside from BB talk, we focus on our jobs, the real world, that type stuff. Janelle's about to get her Real Estate License, and I think she'll do great.

Kaysar: The Harbinger -
James Rhine: Other than Sarah, I talk to him the most. We've always had discussions about things above the game. He's one of the people I know I'll be friends with for a long time. Even in the house we had an understanding and mutual respect for each other regardless of the competition and that continues outside the house.

Howie: The Jester -
James Rhine: I didn't think I would really be friends with him outside the house, but I was wrong again. He's got the biggest heart of anyone in that house. He tried to get BB to send me a veto for my 30th birthday. He just does things that are really considerate. And of course there's no one better to talk about boobies with!

April: The Ninny -
James Rhine: Busto - see J-Blo... dumb bitch

james & ivette . one plays with wit, the other plays with tits

Mr. GuyTVBlog: One theme I would love to see next season of Big Brother take on is "Couples". A house full of people dating, married, engaged, divorced, separated, etc. If you and Sarah had gone into a house with a couple twist, how do you think the game would have been like for you two? And how would you have won this game?

James Rhine: Couples... BB is not the place for couples. The stress that it places on realtionship is heavy. Emotion can not and should not be in this game. Maybe I took it upon myself to try and look after Sarah, but I felt I had to. It hurt my game play in the begining. They tried the "X-factor" on 4 and it was one of the worst seasons, so I don't think they'd try it again. As for how would we win... not get evicted. :)

Mr. GuyTVBlog: I'm not sure where I heard or read this but I believe you had discussed the possibility of you coming into CBS' Big Brother 6 taking on the role as a "gay" houseguest. How exactly were you going to pull this off? How far were you willing to go? And why the thought of playing "gay"?

James Rhine: I was going to go into that house trying anything. My strategy was going to begin the moment I started to get a feel for the other houseguests. I did contimplate going in and saying I was gay. Guys never view gay males as physical competition and girls get friendlier with them, so I thought it might help me fly under the radar. I'm not to keen on stereotyping so I wasn't going to try and fit any particular "gay" stigma. That would have been rude and highly disrespectful to some watching, I don't mind pissing off the houseguests but I didn't want anyone mad at me for stupid shit. It might have worked, who knows; Beau thought I was gay and so did some of your readers.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Let's dig a little in your knowledgeable brain. I'm going to give you 3 topics and then you discuss your opinions, thoughts and/or personal issues with each selected topic. Let's begin.

President Bush -
James Rhine: not my first choice, but a hell of a lot better than John Kerry. Every Dummicrat in Congress is now second guessing his invasion of Iraq and all this other crap. If you're going to vote on a resolution to go to war you shouldn't take anyone's word for shit. You're responsible for your constituents and some of them are dying over there, read the intelligence and make your decision. All this bullshit about "we didn't have the same intelligence" IMO is more poltitcal fodder that resignates from spineless bitches trying to trump up their next campaign. We need a solution, Saddam fucked up by comvincing everyone he had WMD's, the war is on and needs to come to resolution. Democracy didn't happen overnight in this country and it will take some time over there. As for the economy, it's kicking ass and those stories have now dissappeared from the media... wonder why? I see "W" like Howie, good heart, just bad decisions on misgiven facts.

Gay Marriage in the UK -
James Rhine: well I'm not gay and don't live in the UK so I don't care... j/k relax and stop screaming at your computer. I am all for civil unions here in the US. Marriage as I understand it came from the Church. If the church says no to it, don't be a member of that church. Marriage should not be a state license, it originated from the church. If you're married outside the church it should be designated a "civil union" and have all the same advantages of a marriage. as long as you're not kin, if you love someone it shouldn't matter AT ALL your sexual orientation. Britney got married for 24 hours and then married Kevin Trailerliner, Ellen shouldn't be told she can't marry Portia. It's stupid to me. One question I do pose is... When Clinton was in Office for 8 years and passed the "don't ask don't tell" why wasn't this legislation brought up then?

15 Minutes of Fame -
James Rhine: that's what you call it.. it's been fun. I do not consider myself famous. I am back at my job having fun with the whole experience. BB was one of the best things to happen to me and I'm glad that others can hate me, love me, or not give a shit for it. Being on VH1 was cool as hell though.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: I've very interested in how a person continues to live life after being on a popular reality show. Compare how life was before the Big Brother experience and how life is after the Big Brother experience. Also, what advice do you have for those exiting reality shows to then live life within a judgemental TV society.

James Rhine: I get more free drinks now then before. Life after is amazing; from people questioning my feelings for Sarah, to saying I'm one of the best to play the game, to critiquing Beau plucking my eyebrows ONCE!!! It's all been fun. I went in to play a game so I could get money for college for Sarah and I, she's still young and I want her to finish her degree. Retail sucks and I want more for her than that. I lost, so it's back to doing things the hard way.

For all those with dreams of Reality Fame... get unlisted numbers, and THINK before you open your mouth. You owe nothing to the other competitiors, but you do to your loved ones outside. Don't embarrass them by detailed sexual accounts or telling America they're pieces of shit. Use as much common sense as you can. If you're devoid of that, go on anyways you'll make good TV. As for the judgemental people, most just want attention. I call people out on my site all the time and they still come back for more. Just remember that they hide behind screen names for a reason.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Most who leave a reality show have a blurred memory of their experience. For many contestants, their show started too quickly and ended even quicker leaving what I like to call "selective memories". These would be moments one recalls or thinks about when referring back to their time spent on their show or season. What would you say are your selective memories of CBS' Big Brother 6?

James Rhine: Alot of the experience is blurry, watching the tapes and live feeds does bring back tons of memories and emotions. My favorite tape was the Pinata Veto competition, dumbasses. I feel like I was in that house for a long ass time, made longer by the lonliness. Ivette helped me a lot in the house and it's why we are still friends. I'll see things and it will take me back to certain moments. Some as simple as waking before everyone and having coffee or doing laundry. It's happening right now. I miss that house. I really miss talking w/ Janey in the Gold Room ripping on the Girl Scouts or playing chess w/ Kaysar. Those are things I think about. The competitions were very stressful and I can't remember much from them, just blurbs.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: If Big Brother decides to go All Star in the next year or so, how ready are you to go back into the house for another round? I'd personally would want to see a house divided by all star players vs. new houseguests, it might make for great tv for fans of returning players and those seeking new personalities to love or hate. What are your thoughts on an All Star edition of Big Brother? And would you have homoerotic thoughts of Roddy if he returned for a 2nd round? And if Maggie returned for a 2nd round, how do you think you would treat her inside the house?

James Rhine: All Stars I would do in a heartbeat! As for Roddy, not my type. I still like girls. I spoke to Roddy a while ago and he seemed cool, it would be nice to have someone in the house that can count w/o using their fingers. Maggot would get my respect for how she played, but I'd get her the hell out of there ASAP. Maggie played a great BB game, she manipulted the weak minded all the way to the end. I used to laugh at how stupidly the lemmings ran to the cliff for her. She deserved to win, I would have prefered Ivette, but Maggie played a good BB game, boring as hell and ugly to look at. But shit, she won.

All Stars and new players would be fun. I think the game has evolved though. Dr. Will would have been evicted early in our season. The game is transcending to a herd instinct, the weak gather together to protect themselves from predators or intelligent people. Look at the Nerd Herd, little lambs that stuck together to fend off the traditionally strong players. Same in 5, boring ass people going farther b/c they are scared of dominant personalities. Neitzsche wrote books on these type people.

James Rhine . Official Website

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Everyone seems to bitch and complain about the "Friendship" or "Fiendship" as Marcellas Reynolds loves to call them. I also am proudly guilty of ripping apart the Friendship, it was fun. Although I have to say I respect the Friendship [aka Maggie] because they [she] managed to push a team of five through the house knocking everyone out until it was only 2 of their alliance left to win the grand prize. After the show, it seems the Friendship is no longer a "friendship". What happened to them in your own words? Do you keep in contact with anyone from the Fiendship? And who's in your Friendship alliance today?

James Rhine: The friendship/friendshit/sheep/Nerd Herd/Girl Scouts/ got the job done. Only two of them came to win and both were at the end. Jen came to make it to sequester and pay off her credit card debt. She was a Arena Cheerleader making $400.00 a year. Beau was there for who knows why. Busto wanted exposure so she could be a newscaster one day. Maggot and Ivette wanted to win and they did so. The others were set up to fall week after week and they did so. I still talk to Ivette regularly and to Beau every once in a while from that side. From the "other" side I speak w/ Howie, Kaysar, Janey or Rach almost daily.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Final Question. Since the Bible became the must have book in the Big Brother house, I have to ask... Am I going to burn in hell for eternity for sleeping with other men? And are you going to burn with me?

James Rhine: You probably won't burn in hell, but you're not allowed any other book in that house. Aftrer reading nutritional ingredients and the chemical makeup of the cleaning products you have nothing else to read. and I still like girls, so if I burn it will be for other reasons. I'll save you a seat.

Any Final Words?

James Rhine: Thanks to anyone who read this and anyone who enjoyed the show or hated it. I hope for the most part you enjoyed my game play. That house fucks with you like crazy. I went in there to win money and could have cared less about making friends. In the end I lost, but came away with some incredible relationships and even better memories. So it was worth it.

Don't ever vote for Hilary, make educated decisions about politics, not uniform one cause you feel you fit a certain "group". Sarah's hot! Don't feed the Nerd Herd.. If there is an All Stars, be nice to me while I'm locked inside. not really... Have a happy holidays and be safe.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Question for Sarah: Hello to the CBS' Big Brother 6 beauty. What is life like for you after the Big Brother experience? And how... um... big is James?

Sarah: James summed it up about life outside the house. I get recognized at work all the time and have been having fun with it. About James you'll just have to know he has positives that overcome his being a jerk sometimes.

GuyTVBlog.com Interview . The Trophy Boys

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Slavco, why is Ricardo a Trophy Boy?

SLAVCO: Because he has the looks, the personality and the attitude of what a real trophy boy needs to have. When we were filming "kept", he stood out among all the other contestants and was my only real competition.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Ricardo, why is Slavco a Trophy Boy?

RICARDO: Because he is comfortable in his own skin..when you are comfortable like that you ooze confidence. That is what attract successful people.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: We might as well discuss VH1's Kept. I will admit that I only watched the show because of Jason Fromer. He was so fucking dreamy and a body to lust for. Then once he got eliminated I continued to watch to make sure you two were eliminated from the contest. But then after you 2 left the show I found that I was no longer interested in the show. You 2 guys made the show quite interesting and I look forward to your next big ventures.

Are you happy with the portrayal of yourselves on VH1's Kept? What didn't we see that could have changed the public's view on Slavco & Ricardo?

SLAVCO: Just because the fact that Ricardo and I became friends we were also a big threat to the other guys and the truth is editing can do wonders, and the show needed drama and we figured that when you have looks and drama you have a hit show. It was our intention the way we handled it and it showed after we got eliminated when ratings dropped. Were happy the way they edited it because we knew what they wanted and we went along with it.

What the public didn't see was that we don't just have good looks but we are also well educated with many talents and above all we were the only real ones on the show and that our friendship was real and that the other guys were being fake with each other. In the long run we did win..we gained a friendship and many more adventures to come.

RICARDO: I had my worries from the beginning. Initially when I first watched the show I figured my acting career was done. They never gave me a chance to speak on camera. Never a chance to explain or defend myself. I was marked as the asshole.

What people dont see is I am really sensitive, compassionate, caring. I love animals and work in an animal hospital every day. I think the producers censored me too much even for cable TV. They would have to reload the camera after my interviews because I talked so much. They never showed that stuff. What makes good television and what is real are completely different.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: If you 2, for some unknown reason, were not cast in VH1's Kept, was there a "reality show plan B"? What other reality shows were you 2 interested in?

SLAVCO: Definitely shows like Big Brother, Survivor and Amazing Race because their both very competiie shows and very respected. if you play your cards right you can show the world your talents and your hot body :)

RICARDO: Fear Factor, Dog Eat Dog, Survivor, anything physical. I will never do another competitive reality show though. I honestly feel I am a target and a threat to the other contestants and the others will say hurtful things for the sake of good television. I didn't go to London for the intention of looking like an asshole. I thought I would be in a house with 15 cool guys. I had just buried my brother and went to Thailand to get away from it all and then went directly to London. I was already in a weird state. The last thing I needed was a bunch of haters.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: You 2 have recently started a blog, Trophy Boys. Now I could ask "Why did you start a blog" or "What do you expect to gain from this blog" but each question has far too simple answers. My question for you 2 is this What exactly are you hoping your readers will take away once they have read your blog entries?

SLAVCO: We keep getting so much fan mail and email that since we had such a big international fan base we thought why not have a blog to show the world and our fans what we are doing everyday and what our future plans and goals are. Cause come on, don't we seem like interesting guys to you?

People from all over the world can see what really goes on in Hollywood and we want to share it with them for free because we're not greedy.

RICARDO: The main purpose for starting the blog was to talk about our side of things. We wanted people to know who we really are. TV is just entertainment and its not real. The idea of Trophy Boys was brought to us by accident, we didn't go looking for it. We saw an opportunity for us to be able to communicate to a broad audience who really are interested and at the same time hopefully the blog would bring us more work. Our goal is to keep working.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Why are you 2 NOT sexually interested in guys? What is it about guys that sexually that turns you off? And don't try to turn this around and ask me why am I not sexually interested in ladies. This interview is about you 2.

SLAVCO: We appreciate beauty of all types but we really like women and enjoy the attention from both sexes. Its hard to find someone as good looking as we are. :)

RICARDO: I honestly dont see men in a romantic way. Its not chemically inside of me. I'm not saying that I would never be with a guy in the future, but I know I follow my instinct and my past experience is that there is nothing better than being with a woman. A woman's body is like a work of art, plus guys are hairy :)

Mr. GuyTVBlog: How did one meet the other one?

SLAVCO: I first met Ricardo in the hotel before we got introduced on the show. We were not able to meet prior to the casting. We just clicked from day one beacuase everyone was hating us and we stuck together. We were a big threat to them. We felt negativity coming from the producers, the staff and the contestants.

RICARDO: We met in London. They were trying to keep us all apart in the beginning but I saw him in the lobby and instantly knew he was on the show. I knew he would be my biggest competition. Minutes into taping, everyone turned on both of us. How cool is it to have your biggest threat now become your ally. We decided to join forces to get rid of the randoms.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Is this a business partnership or a friendship?

SLAVCO: In the beginning it was a friendship but then we came up with a few ideas including Trophy Boys and some television projects we are developing and even a skin care and hair product line. So everyone will benefit.

RICARDO: You have to really prove yourself to me to be my friend. I was in a situation where I was forced to trust him. We were being hated. Our friendship is now leading into lucrative business opportunities. And..its all because of the show

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Why are you 2 working together as a team rather than working separately?

SLAVCO: Because two are more powerful than one and the public either loved or hated the Ricardo Slavco team so how could you break that up.

RICARDO: We knew we made an impact on the show and trying to keep the momentum going we both found a niche together.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Will there ever be a time where Slavco & Ricardo are bashing each other?

SLAVCO: We have each others back. What we went through in London together with all the negativity, we had to trust in one another and if we survived that I doubt there would ever be any bashing.

RICARDO: Never. That's not our style. We are confident in our skin. We know what we've got.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: When you 2 are out and about enjoying the life of socialite fame and you post about it on Trophy Boys, I never seem to see or read the downside of tv fame.

Where are the stories where you guys are insulted and humiliated? I find it hard to believe that each and every night out is flawless and party perfect.

SLAVCO: The only negativity I get from people is that they think we are cocky mirror hogging assholes but when they see who we really are, they fall in love with us and they realize we worked that image to our advantage. Don't believe everything you see on tv..especially reality tv, Actually Hollywood has embraced us and invited us to award shows and premieres because of our characters.

RICARDO: You're right..its not perfect. You get your haters everywhere. When people tell me that I am an asshole, I say thank you. I then ask if they were a fan of the show. I end of twisting their thoughts and they end up admitting they were entertained by it all.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Tell us about some horrid nightlife moments and how you 2 deal with public bashing. Hey, if The Real World kids get shit while they are filming their seasons before the show even airs, I'm betting you 2 are getting a healthy does of unnecessary cruelness from the idiotic side of the tv viewing public.

SLAVCO: Believe it or not, people are actually more intrigued than disgusted with us and especially hanging celebs and respected show business people they have accepted us and like being around us.

RICARDO: In the beginning before people got to know us more we would wait in long lines to get in clubs. One night a really hot girl pulled up along us and rolled down her window while we were in line. We were flirting with her until she yelled out loudly that she thought we were assholes. The worst part used to be when door security thought we were dicks on the show and they wouldn't give us the time of day. Those days have changed for sure once they got to know us.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Let's dig a little in your beautified brains. I'm going to give you 3 topics each and then you each discuss your opinions, thoughts and/or personal issues with each selected topic next to your name.

Slavco, you have President Bush, Self Esteem & Racism.

SLAVCO: I honestly don't have an opinion of him, however I do know that we are in the new millennium and there are a lot of more negative things coming out of the White House in regards to equality and the war in Iraq.

You have to love yourself first befire loving someone else and if you are confident with yourself you will not have negativity towards others and the world will be a happier and peaceful place.

I have no racism..I love everyone. I think everyone should be treated equally.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Ricardo, you have Pet Adoption, Overweight Women & God.

RICARDO: Good idea. Especially with all of the homeless animals out there from the hurricanes.

Too many of them.

Its one thing to be spiritual. Its another thing to be religious. Its not about believing in God or Buddha, its about believing in an entity. Its healthy for us. It centers me, creates warmth in me. Makes me remember and brings me back. God is the missing link.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: What are your secrets to maintaining a well "kept" body? And none of this "eat right and workout" shit. Give us details on your workout routine and eating habits. And what kind of liquor or beer do you drink that helps keep your bodies from producing beer guts?

SLAVCO: My secrets can't be revealed because then everyone will have a hard hot body like me, just kidding, I would love to share all the tips I can provide so everyone can benefit and have a healthier hotter body. We'll I think keeping a well balanced diet is my secret. Eating the right carbs such as brown rice, whole wheat bread, lots of veggies, good fats such as olive oil, almonds, walnuts and lots of protein. All white meats are great for you and lean red meats. Try to stay away from soda's and high in sugar and salt products. Eat more meals but smaller throughout the day and drink lots of water.

Here is a little secret... make sure you eat your protein before your carbs first because your body breaks down protein faster then carbohydrates and speeds up your metabolism. It really is 60% of what you put in your body, remember you are what you eat;) 20% is your work outs and sleep is very important also. Try to work out 4 to 5 times a week for about hour and half each day and do cardio at least 3 times for 20 min and you might look like me :)

As for liquor, I like to drink but also moderation is the key, make sure to drink on your off days when you know you aren't going to work out the next day. Hang overs are a bitch when you are working out. My drink is Vodka Grey Goose preferred or Ketel One and club soda low in carbs and calories or a Bacardi and diet coke. My sugar/bitch drink is an Apple Martini. Not really a beer drinker but if I do drink beer it would be Amstel Light or Micholoeb ultra. And I enjoy a glass of red wine every other day, its good for the heart :)

RICARDO: Its really the genetics. You are either born with it or you aren't. I like drinking rum and diet coke... always sugar free.

Mr. GuyTVBlog: Final question. Who's life is better, Mine or Yours? Now there's a proper way to answer this question and a wrong way to answer this question. What are your answers Slavco & Ricardo?

SLAVCO: I really don't know how you are living your life but I do know that I'm having a great time doing what I love to do and that is just being myself. Just remember live your life to its fullest and never have any regrets. Treat people the way you would want to be treated.

RICARDO: My life is better. Why... because you are the one asking me the questions. Just being honest.
